KTCS Contest Rules
1. ELIGIBILITY Employees and families
of Big Chief Broadcasting Co., their agencies, and employees
and families of any radio, television or cable company
or its subsidiary, and employees and families of any
participating sponsors and their agencies are ineligible
to participate in or win in any Big Chief Broadcasting
Co. contest. Big Chief Broadcasting Co. reserves the
right to disqualify any contestant who is financed,
aided, encouraged or prompted by an employee or family
member of any radio, television or cable company, or
its subsidiary, within 50 miles of the Ft. Smith Metro
area. Big Chief Broadcasting Co. reserves the right
to enforce the following: No contest winner or their
family members, whether they are on-air or off, shall
be allowed to win consecutively inside a 30-day period.
A person or family member will be allowed to register
for a consecutive contest as long as the winning dates
are at least 30 days apart. Each person is limited to
one registration per 30 days per contest. Big Chief
Broadcasting Co. contests are void when and where prohibited
by law. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations
apply.
2. PRIZES All prizes will be awarded.
All prizes awarded by Big Chief Broadcasting Co. are
non-transferable. A prize may not be substituted at
the request of a contest winner, nor may cash be substituted
for any prize. The prize indicated by station personnel
to be won in a contest is the only prize awarded, and
given only to the person who is designated as the winner.
Big Chief Broadcasting Co. reserves the right to substitute
a prize of equal or greater value in the event the specified
prize offered is unavailable. All prizes awarded by
Big Chief Broadcasting Co. must be claimed within 30
days of the date the prize was won. No substitutions
will be made for a violation of this 30-day rule. If
a winner does not claim his/her prize within the 30-day
period, the prize is forfeited, but eligibility restrictions
mentioned in these rules still apply to that winner
for future contest. All prizes designated for pick up
at Big Chief Broadcasting Co. studios must be picked
up during regular business hours. Odds of winning are
dependent upon the total number of entries received.
3. RELEASE Big Chief Broadcasting
Co. and/or any sponsor participating in a contest may
require a release form to be completed by the winner
and any other person or persons involved in accepting
a prize. Upon accepting any contest prize from Big Chief
Broadcasting Co., or any sponsor participating in the
contest, winner releases Big Chief Broadcasting Co.
and any and all sponsors and their agencies, of any
liability or further claims. Big Chief Broadcasting
Co. may use voice recordings to prevent contest fraud.
Big Chief Broadcasting Co. cannot be held liable or
responsible for any telephone failures, malfunctions,
or irregularities during any contest, nor be held liable
nor responsible for any discrepancies by the U.S. Postal
Service or any delivery service or courier involved
in delivering prizes, entries, or contest information,
nor is Big Chief Broadcasting Co. to be held liable
for any lost or stolen entries, prizes, or contest information.
The decision of the judges is final. All entrants agree
to grant unlimited use of their name, voice, picture,
quotation, or facsimile, without consideration, in conjunction
with their participation in any given contest. All winners
are responsible for reporting and paying federal, state,
and local taxes and all applicable license and registration
fees on prizes received. Big Chief Broadcasting Co.
and all sponsors and their agencies make no representation
or warranty whatsoever, either expressed or implied,
as to fitness of the prize for any particular purpose.
4. IDENTIFICATION In order for a
winner to claim a prize, Big Chief Broadcasting Co.
may require picture identification, and/or may require
any or all of the following: a valid driver's license,
state I.D., passport, and/or birth certificate. Big
Chief Broadcasting Co. reserves the right to examine
additional identification, and may choose to accept
or deny awarding the prize based on the identification
presented. Big Chief Broadcasting Co. requires a contestant
to truthfully respond with all pertinent information
it deems necessary for station records, including, but
not restricted to, legal name, address, telephone number,
birth date, and Social Security number. Big Chief Broadcasting
Co. may disqualify a contestant immediately upon learning
the contestant has responded with false information.
5. TYPE For trivia-related or game-related
contests, winners must supply "the answer that we're
looking for" to win. Decision of the studio judge is
final. For sweepstakes-related contests, registration
forms must contain all information requested in a legible
manner.
6. CHANGES Big Chief Broadcasting
Co. reserves the right to extend any contest if it so
desires, and reserves the right to make necessary changes
to contest rules and procedures. In the event of any
dispute pertaining to a contest, the decision of Big
Chief Broadcasting management is final.
7. OTHER Specific contests may have
additional stipulations not listed here. Refer to documents
pertaining to those contests for specific rules. When
a contestant participates in a Big Chief Broadcasting
Co. contest, he/she implies agreement to abiding by
contest rules and all subsequent rulings.
