They are always in need of families who will adopt, foster or sponsor a dog or cat that ended up at the Poteau Kill Pound. Some are dumped and picked up by animal control, others are owner surrendered. They all deserve a better life. If you can open your home, please help.
OUR FOSTER PUPPIES:
This is Newton, when we agreed to foster him, he was 7 weeks old. His previous family dumped him in a ditch and he was picked up by Animal Control and taken to the Poteau Kill Pound. He would have been killed in 5 days if these ladies hadn’t rescued him. We agreed to Foster (provide a warm, safe, loving home for 4wks-2months) and fell in love with the lil guy. So now he’s adopted and a part of our family. If you can find it in your heart to welcome a fur baby, they would furever be grateful that you gave them a chance at a real life.
This is Newton now at 7 months old (Jan ’15)
Since then, we have foster 4 more puppies that would have been killed after 5 days in the Poteau Pound. Lincoln stayed with us 5 weeks and went to a wonderful family in Gravette, AR.
This is Decker. In the 5 weeks we fostered him, He grew from 22lbs to 33lbs, potty trained, walks on leash, learns to ride in car, socializes with adults, kids, other dogs & cats. Decker was adopted 3 hours after arriving in Colorado!
This is Keifer (we called him Oliver). He is Jack Russell Mix. He is hanging out with Oakley & Newton. He was a challenge to potty train but he went to a wonderful home in Colorado. Look at him now.
This is our 1st female pup to foster. Her name is Evonne (although we call her Bella-Roo) She is a lab/border collie mix. She must have come from a home where they potty trained her because she is basically potty trained. But she also didn’t get much human interaction in that home by the way she is so timid around people. But we are giving her incredible amounts of love and she is coming around. She leaves August 28th for her new fur-ever home.
If you can open your home for a few weeks to these dogs, all sizes, ages & breeds, you would be saving their life. They will die without you. Sadly, these dogs all had homes, but their family decided to dump them instead of loving them forever. These poor babies do not deserve to die because their owners bailed on them.
